(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Ok guys I finally got my raceseng shift knob and decided to do a full review on the product. Before I start, I personally want to thank Jarrett (raceseng CEO) for such an excellent support and for manufacturing such a wonderful and outstanding product. Ok to start of we got the package on time and as expected. Was shipped using USPS priority mail so in 3 days the package was at my door. The package was well packed with everything packed safely inside the box. All parts came in individual plastic bags. The knob was packed in a special foam to avoid scratches or dings. I was really impress of how they packed everything inside such a small box. IMG_0306.JPG IMG_0307.JPG IMG_0308.JPG IMG_0309.JPG IMG_0310.JPG The shift knob surface finish is just beautiful and it really catches the eye of anybody. The way the knob feels is just perfect, at least for me. The aluminum used on this knob is top notch. It feels just perfect in the palm of the hand, exactly what I was looking for. IMG_0311.JPG I spoke with Jarrett dad who works with him and they buy the best craftsman materials not cheap aluminum, in order to comply and build these outstanding knobs. I have had many knobs in my car but these are totally different when it comes to presentation and quality. The red color just blends perfectly with all the red stitching inside the car's interiors. It just gives the car's interior a beautiful touch. We did some shifting without driving the car yet and it just shifts really nice and smooth. There was no need to use a boot retainer because it threads all the way down to the neck of the knob boot. When turning upside down the knob, we noticed the quality of the thread built inside the knob where the adapter just threads perfectly. Be careful when threading it the first time because at first it's a little bit tight. IMG_0312.JPG IMG_0314.JPG We then threaded the bottom adapter into the shift knob stick and barely tighten it with a adjustable wrench. When installing the adapters , make sure you install them in the right position so you don't damage the threads on the adapters. After installing the bottom adapter you install the top one which is the one inside the knob on the picture. IMG_0313.JPG After this we went ahead and finally installed the knob. Like mentioned before be careful when threading it the first time, go slowly until the knob reached the neck of the boot. IMG_0315.JPG IMG_0316.JPG IMG_0317.JPG Here are some pictures of it from a full angle from outside the car. IMG_0319.JPG IMG_0320.JPG And last but not least, a nice sticker was included in the box so we decided to install it on front visor IMG_0324.JPG Overall impression on this knob , simple! worth every penny. The build quality is top notch and second to none. These people put a lot of dedication to their product. I've had many aftermarket knobs from sparco, momo etc. but none can compare to the reliability and quality raceseng offers. I highly recommend any product from raceseng specially considering that Jarrett CEO took time on the weekend from his family to answer my questions and this speaks for itself. During the pre-sale, Jarrett was kind in answering all my questions and the response time was just great. So for those who are thinking about purchasing a knob from raceseng, don't think about it to much, just give them a try, you won't regret the decision once you get the product and you are able to appreciate the quality and the beauty of their product. I'm also posting some links with information about the company. Also a link to a review on another raceseng knob from the VW forum which shows pictures of manufacturing facilities, personnel and build process.
