Default Exterior Turn signal upgrade to L.E.D???

Has anyone tried to upgrade the turn signals to L.E.D? Super bright has some but wondering if they will work with factory signal system and one touch turn option? I tried to look for a turn signal relay on my Speed but it does not have one. Does this mean it is a digital relay capable of using any bulb no matter how low draw is?
Thanks!

The turn signals in the mirror arent that dificult to get to. The painted part of the mirror pops off by pulling it forward then there is one screw and the bulb comes out.

it's not difficult, they have the LED bulbs that will fit all over ebay. I think you have to get some kind of resistor to prevent it from flashing superfast though

Has anyone just tried to replace front and rear turn signals with L.E.D and what were the results? Is there or isn't there a turn signal relay that can be swapped to a digital adjustable relay for signal speed? This would be easier than soldering resisters at every bulb 6 in total.

do you have any pics of your Fog's I would love to see how bright they are and also in Canada we have DRL's so would love to get a super-bright L.E.D for them they are H8 super-bright does not have any in that size! I do not want to put in Xenon kit due to some Mazda's having hazing with factory lens with the H.I.D as they would have a field day if the kit did not filter U.V properly and caused my hazing.

Will the strobe effect of an L.E.D. have any adverse effects on the lifespan of the bulb? Or the electrical system for that matter?

What r the bulb size numbers I'm looking to change my exterior turn signals. I've already got 55w 8000k raptors for my lows and corksport's led drl for my fogs.

It will reduce the life of the rear bulb / front LED quicker.

$50.00 bucks for turn signal bulbs? I'm pretty sure that's how much I paid for my TurboXS BPV.

i know this is not relevant but I have installed Led at the tail light WITHOUT a resistor and it DOES NOT hyperflash or hyperblink (whatever you wanna call it). At first yes it did hyperblink but then after running them for 3 days just like that all of a sudden the hyperblink stopped. I guess it has something to do with the computer learning the low power draw and adjusting according to it? or maybe it doesnt give a damn after certain number or cycles and sets it to normal.

Also, i ordered some 1157 led bulb for my speed6, and i installed them but for some reason they don't work. and they can be only be put in one direction. anyone have feedback on that?

I have rear LED signals and LED switchbacks up front. They were in the car when I bought it and have metal resistors wired in. I have begun the process of switching them out with VLEDs. They work fine and don't hyperflash. I don't have the auto blinker option turned on yet so I can't comment on that.

I would guess they are in the socket backwards. They fit both ways, but only work one way.

For those asking about LED turn signals for the front, I bought these:
Amazon.com: Splendid Autos 60-SMD 7443 Dual-Color Switchback LED Bulbs (60-White 60-Amber) + Load Resistor: AutomotiveAmazon.com: Splendid Autos 60-SMD 7443 Dual-Color Switchback LED Bulbs (60-White 60-Amber) + Load Resistor: Automotive

It came with resistors which I tapped into the rear signals to prevent from hyper flashing. Without the resistors, they hyper flash.

I'm sure. I had one of mine in backwards and it wouldn't work. I'm just glad I tested them before I buttoned it all back up.

Hey @nabeel; it's a reverse polarity issue, I also have the same problem wanted to see what ppl did to fix this problem before I go cutting

I'm going to see if I can find a 1157a reverse polarity bulb before I cut, unless someone has an input. I've worked on mazdas now for over 5 years (dealership) and never new they had to be that different and difficult. I'm assuming you bought Sylvania, so did I 70 bucks for 4 bulbs and 4 reistors

I just want to make sure I have this straight before I spend the money since they are ridiculously expensive ...do the vled v3 tritons work in the speed6 and do I need the resistor they have called the vlr6 I believe or will they work fine without.

$120 for a single pair of turn signal lights with resistors?

Fuck that. I paid $30 for four 80w cree projector bulbs, and another $10 for 4 resistors. I have black housing headlights, and reverse lights. They are bright as shit, seen day and especially night.

I have vleds for reverse lights. Can't say if they work on the 6, but if they are selectable based on model info on their website, I'd say yes. If using them as turn signals you will want the resistors to prevent hyper flash. I plan on getting their front signals to replace the cheap LEDs the previous owner put in the front of my car.

Why spend over $100 for VLEDs, when you get better price with ebay bulbs.

You don't get better performance with eBay bulbs. I've tried both and the vleds are far better.

But they are better because they are name brand, and not eBay brand made in China

But how much HP did it add per dollar spent?

That's why I said performance. Whomever chose the original LED replacements chose poorly. There was plenty of light, but it wasn't focused worth a damn. I couldn't see anything behind my vehicle when backing. The vleds were plug and play and light up the area behind the vehicle quite well. I do think they are a bit overpriced, but I don't think too many people here have issues throwing money at these cars.

I plan on changing out the front switchback LEDs because the white color is way off and they look like a disco ball. I like the single lens of the vleds. I think I'll go with the amber instead of the white/amber combo though.

Zero, but I've done all of the power mods I plan on doing at this point. I could go big turbo tomorrow if I wanted to, but I don't feel the need. If they release a diesel Wrangler that will likely be my next money pit.

Yup. I have VLEDs in my Gen Juan and they are BRIGHT AS FUCK.

They were expensive, but I got $50 as a birthday gift that I put towards these lights.
