Default Orange oxidized specs on pearl white paint

My car keeps having more and more orange oxidized specs all over it. Any recommendations on exterior cleaning products to prevent this? I've been using turtle wax compound to buff them off, but it takes a lot of time. Wondering if there are any products to prevent them rather than just buffing them out consistently.

It's not just you. That also happens to my car but since yours is white, it shows more. Clay bar should help. We did this to my friend's white speed. It does take quite a bit of time before you can get rid of it.

I got one of these nanoskin pads last year, and honest to god I'll never use a clay bar again. These things are outstanding...

This is what I've got, but there are many variations now- sponges, mitts etc...

Hm... Going to have to go find this. I too was going to say clay bar. Spray waxing your car after you wash it makes everything come off so much easier, but yes it is a pain in the ass.

I've used Iron X Iron X Iron Remover, CQuartz IronX, Paint Cleaner, paint decontamination with great results on my CWP. Those orange flecks were everywhere on my car before.

Didn't look at the date on this prior but I also just used Iron X on my entire car to remove the iron stains. wish I would have waited until spring because now I have to buy another bottle.

Yes I pointed these out some time ago I absolutely LOVE these.

If you're sealing the paint (most waxes today over the counter are sealants unless carnauba) you really shouldn't be getting these.... You're either waiting too long between waxes or it's something picked up from the surface.

I seal my car twice a year (garaged) with high quality sealant, never had any issues even when I owned a white miata which did not have clear coats. Seal the paint more often, if you're compounding or doing ANYTHING to the surface, you need to immediately put wax back on the areas you worked.

I also agree 100% with spray waxing the entire car after wash, it picks a lot of stuff up and brings up the sheen. But it's not really necessary (great for removing water spots) if the wax is in good shape below, just helps to extend the life.

EDIT: OMFG just realized it was an old ass thread revived by a noob after posting.

Industrial fallout is a pita....everytime we visit the inlaws in orchard park I notice crap on my paint. Best thing to do is use a really good wax or paint sealer. That way all the metal gets caught in the sacrificial layer instead of burning into your clear coat. then remove with a good cleaner wax and reapply once or twice a year. You can buff it out of the clearcoat a few times, but at some point you run out of clearcoat.
