Default Vinyl Wrap

I have seen a few people here with the roof of their speeds being vinyl wrapped. I was wondering how much it cost you guys to get that done? I was quoted $300 for it to be done and wanted to know if that was a good price or if I should continue to look around?

just look for a shop that cn do window tinting and ask them if they can spray tint your headlights and stuff....usually all of them cost like 200, and it's rock proof, scratch proof...

I will be doing this on my Mazda 2 to cover up some paint damage from a flying re-tread. I will get some pictures posted up when I get it finished. I am using the 3m DI-Noc material. It cost about $160 for a 48x60 inch piece.

Tinting your roof?? I believe wrapping is for the body and tints should be left for the windows.... And the carbon fiber hood is a little too ricey...

That is the kind of material I was looking at. I am almost leaning towards doing it myself because the material can be had for about 100 bucks...

Derrick you should make a how to on this!

Get a carbon fiber hood and color match it to your car... It'll look stock but at least you shed off a couple pounds

And do not paint the hood scoop, you might as well start buying appearance mods from autozone if you head in that direction

I did my silver genpu roof in matte black. I think it looks good and I get a lot of compliments. That 3m Dinoc is expensive material, but the regular 3m vinyl is much cheaper.
You should be able to get it done for less than $300. Shit, you could probably have your roof painted for that much.
I'll take a pic later today and put it up.

Id like to see the Matte compared to the Gloss compared to the Carbon Fiber look to see what I like best, so I'd def like to see a picture.

Not the best pics (iphone) but you get the idea.

I use a "satin" finish laminate.

$300 seems to be around the average rate for roof vinyl. Make sure you see samples of car wraps they've done. You don;t want to spend that money and have it turn out like doo doo especially around the 4 corners of the roof

I don't think roof wraps are rice if done right.
When you start striping the car or wrapping the hood, or adding decals everywhere...........Ricearoni

It's IJ180C in black, laminated with their 8520 overlaminate.

It's pretty clean.

I'd do flat or even better matte. Glossy, or even semi gloss would be too shiny IMO.

They are near Orlando FL, don't quote me because I do not work for them but When i was visiting them they said due to many variables it would be 1,500 - 5000... just depends on what you want wrapped and with which vinyl type... If your in the area, give them a call.

Good places will cost $3k-$5k for a fully wrapped vehicle. These places will take pieces like door handles, side mirrors, etc off and wrap them. The places that charge the $1k amount use crappy outdoor vinyl instead of automotive vinyl. Automotive vinyl will let the paint breathe as the cheaper outdoor stuff won't.
I have gloss black on my roof, but since I have an MGM it's VERY subtle so you can;t really tell in pictures
This is the only picture I could find with a decent shot of the roof.

Exactly! They use breathable, no bubble vinyl. They also have metallic colors which is a little harder to deal with. also as you can see from the pics i have, they remove parts. Those rolls cost anywhere from 3-900 dollars and it can take about an entire roll, depending on the car, to wrap. Factor the cost of vinyl plus labor... I can see 3500 for a decent full car wrap easy... no???
