How to mention someone in a post...

Well im happy this bug popped up, but it did cause some issues. So, from here on out, if you want to mention someone in a thread, you will need to place a semicolon after each screen name.

Old way: Haltech
New way: Haltech;

the @ will no longer show as its caused an issue. To tag / mention another forum member, simply type @ member name ; (semicolon) without any spaces.

Hmm. Every time I try to fix the mention list, I get spaces added after each @ and before the member's name.

See http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...r-list-122948/ for what I'm talking about. When you copy-paste the names from the list, it doesn't recognize it since there is an additional space there.

Maybe my computer's wonky, but the "old way" worked better for me. I never saw the @, and my grammar-Nazi self is bothered by the semi-colon. Oh well, if it makes the site less glitchy and is convenient for users who do multi-mentions, then I'm all for it!

Kevin disabled the @ for mentions so I couldn't kill MSF again.

You still need the @ symbol, followed by the screen name,followed by a semi colon ;
