Warning of the risk of buying parts on Facebook and other forums 7 Attachment(s) Last Friday, I took pleasure in seeing someone try to sell a Cobb AP on Facebook, using a pic from Google Images of it being uninstalled. No signage, and was selling for a friend. He WAS @doobs004; on here. He got busted by @Kyle Undefined;, and he got kicked from that group. He then went to another group, same pic, and tried to sell. He was quickly banned from Mazdaspeed parts buy/sell, but then I learned the admin, @kritz;, who kicked him out, was removed as admin. It is safe to say there is no real way of knowing what you are buying on there, with fake users and fake signage commonplace. That AP is posted on several groups now. I get 3-4 requests a WEEK, for help on purchases outside MSF that went to shit. From Mazdas247 to Facebook and Craigslist. Effective immediately, I just cannot be bothered fixing stupid. MSF has a pretty strict set of selling rules, and that cuts down on a TON of scamming. But buying via PM here, no pics from potential sellers, or gift payments is just stupid that i cannot fix. Follow the rules, use common sense, and you will be in good shape. |
Hahaha I was wondering why there was so many notifications from you @Raider;. All I saw was your name and me being tagged. Feared for my life. |
I saw this up for sale on the groups later. This was hilarious to read. That guy sure loves gangbangs lol. |
Damn @Raider; have you ever applied to FBI or CIA? They need someone like you :headbang: |

I was messing with that Max Jordan kid in two different FB groups. We kept asking him to show us a picture of the front, but every time he would show pictures of the back and be like "I just posted it again". I was beginning to think this guy was handicapped or something. |

Yeah, the dude posted a video that looked like he was stealing the AP lol. And he never posted a unmarried pic, even after being asked a million times. Put him on blast in all the FS groups on FB. |
The scammer also WAS @doobs004; on here. I took a pre-emptive measure and removed him. |
Then it turned out it was his AP. Supposedly. Now people saying the new phrase for gettin ripped off is "I got Max Jordaned bro"... |

Someone should find his home address & pay him a visit. |

This is why MSF>any other online medium to sell. People once in a while try that here. We end up wearing their face as a mask while taking their mom in missionary position so she thinks her son is fuckin her. |

I learned my lesson the hard way with Facebook groups. A few weeks ago I bought an engine from a guy that seemed credible, three weeks later I find myself 4.5 hours from my home, dealing with the problem face to face. MSF is the only way to go. I've determined ALL f/s Mazdaspeed groups are full of scammers and ALL Mazdaspeed "owner" groups are full of idiots. Don't get me wrong, they are a great place to go when you are feeling down and need a good laugh, but MSF is home for a reason. |
