Pre-Tuning

Understand that if we start tuning your car with an existing problem it could cost you more in the end. Make sure your car is running good ie: no boost leaks, fresh oil, no coolant leaks, etc.

We recommend you do a boost leak test, check your spark plug gapping (make sure they are all properly gapped). If you haven’t already I’d suggest buying a set of Denso ITV22 spark plugs. These plugs are 1 step colder which is needed for cars making over 300 hp. They are easy to find online but difficult to find at your local auto store.

Boost leak testing is easy if you have an air compressor. It is extremely important that your car is free of boost leaks because it will allow unmonitored air in/out of the system. The 2.3 MZR is MAF dependent so any air not being seen by the MAF will not be seen by the ECU. This can cause a lean AFR condition and may result in detonation. Also be sure to clean your MAF sensor every 5-10k miles. If you don’t already have an upgraded fuel pump you will need one.

I ran into a guy on 495N a few daysa ago. Black MS3. Dropped with black rims. Told him I loved the stance of the car. A couple questions about the tune...

I'm new to this thing so pardon the ignorance but what does the AP and tune entail cuz really, after seeing that Black MS3, I WANT IN!!
