Default Boost control- Question for Lex

Lex Hi still building up for a tune from you, getting my MAF & WOT logs together. and have one last question before I start. I use my V3 Ap for a boost gauge and have noticed that if I'm in say 3rd or 4th and in the upper end of the RPM range, say 4500+ and stomp on the throttle, boost peaks for just a second at anywhere from 20-21.5 lbs. I know this is not good on the stock lower end and have been avoiding it since I first noticed it. So question is can this be tuned out of it, or do will I need some sort of boost control. I would like to avoid this since I have no further plans on engine mods.

Hi Richard, 20psi (if the fuel can support it) and the tune is designed for it is not dangerous. When creating the tune, boost, timing, fueling are all considered to arrive at the correct mix for your car and fuel you are using. The tune controls all of these parameters and no additional hardware is needed to do so .
