(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Hello, I ran into an issue with my Guardian Angel while installing an Aquamist HSF4 system into my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3. After installing the Aquamist system, I've noticed the Guardian Angel is always in a triggered state. I am using the blue external trigger input of the GA with a fail-safe output of the Aquamist system. The Aquamist fail-safe output allows you to choose the fail-safe trigger voltage. The two modes are 0V (running) to 8V (triggered) or 8V (running) to 0V (triggered). I originally had the Aquamist system setup for a 0V run and 8V triggered mode which caused the GA to show a triggered mode (LED light was on). I then tried to switch the mode (8V running, 0V triggered) and ran into the same issue. I did verify the wiring is correct by removing the connector on the GA and measuring either a 0V or 8V (depending on the mode) on the lead of the blue wire. So basically the GA is getting the correct signal based upon the mode. I'm not sure where to go from here. Do you guys have any clue why the GA is staying in a triggered state? I have been using the GA without the Aquamist system for over a year with no issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I soldered a zener diode on the trigger input line to drop the run state voltage below the 4.5V trigger minimum voltage. This worked just fine as the GA is no longer in a tripped state when the Aquamist is in a run state. I did run into another issue though. It appears now that I cannot get the GA to trip when the Aquamist trips. I verified the Aquamist will change the ouput voltage on the trigger line from 3.7V to 0V when the Aquamist is tripped. However, the GA does not trip. @Lex; Do you have any insight as to why I'm experiencing this? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Yes, so the GA will trip when it senses either a ground signal or a signal above ~2.5V. My suggestion is to run a relay that is triggered by the aquamist and that is either not connected on the GA side or tripped to battery when triggered.
