Default Guardian Angel VTA mode

Okay I've been messing with this all day. Got it installed but I can't seem to figure out how to enable VTA mode. I read the PDF on the website and I must be retarded. I put the trigger wire to the battery positive plug in the gta and the light just stays solid. I don't see 2 flashes. HELP! I've already converted the car to VTA mode so it's running pretty turrible right now.

Unplug it, put the trigger wire to positive, plug it back in, it will do like a clicking sound thats how u know u did it right.

using the cobb xle and I read the PDF. I can't tell if it's on or off. I know it's working b/c I tested it at 10psi and it felt like a gradual loss in power once i breached the 10psi threshold. Now getting VTA to work.

I spoke with Lex and he confirmed it should work with the cobb xle since it's push type. I just can't tell if it's VTA mode is on or off.

Light only stays lit when car is off abs turns off when I start it. I'm frustrated

I'm assuming. It works when it's cutting boost.

My wiring consists of add-a-fuse connected to ENG-BAR and ground going to OEM location where the battery is grounded. Took it up the road and breached the 10psi setting, and it sounded like a mini wastegate with my boost and power gradually decreasing.

I just can't seem to get VTA mode to take. I turn the car to the on position and unplug the connector. I attach the blue wire to the positive terminal and plug the unit back up. The led lights up and goes off momentarily and lights up again when there is a sound like a valve moving in the GA. I continue to hold it the blue wire there for a few seconds and release. I then push the button on the ignition to cut the car off. I push the button another two times to get the ignition on but the car not started. I check the LED on the GA and it's lit. I crank the car at that point and the LED shuts off and the car idles pretty bad. I repeat it another two or three times with the same result. I can't seem to get this fucker into VTA mode.


Anyways TLDR cliff notes - I'm apparently stupid as shit.

Is this GA bought new or one of the early ones. The very early ones did not have the VTA feature on the software
