(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I contacted Stratified Automotive Controls for information about a custom tune. I am more than happy to pay for services but I wanted to get into contact with you and see what you will need from me. I can't start for another few weeks until my spark plugs get back and HKS sends me a new BOV because of their faulty BOV. My car is throwing some lean codes and I am replacing the O2 sensor tonight, but I have a feeling most of my problem with idle and stutter is coming from not having a good custom tune done with how many after market modifications I have had done. Let me know by pm'ing me or responding to the contact request I did through Stratified Automotive Controls. I am highly interested in getting this tune done as quickly as humanly possible. I've read all of your reviews on Stratified and the many posts on here that rave about you and your customer service and knowledge. I would be grateful to have a customer tuner like you help me out in getting my Speed6 back up to par!

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I have the Cobb AP . I read all the requirements on Stratified and I have a general feel for the process I just wanted to get in touch with Lex and see if he has any ideas on what my CEL's for to lean could be if replacing the O2 sensor doesn't work. Only idea after that is a faulty MAF. But I know that Lex can't tune the car properly until all of the modified parts are on that I am wanting the custom tune for so I have to wait either way for HKS to send me back my BOV from the warranty claim I made.

| Not Ranked : 0 score It sounds more like a boost leak than need for a tune. Are you catless? What's the gap on your plugs? These are most likely mechanical issues that NEED to be addressed before tuning.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks Lex! As for the gaps on the plug I think they are stock from the factory :/. my bet is original owner never changed (some 60 year old man). I ordered the iridium spark plugs but they are on global back order according to street unit so I won't have them for at least three weeks :/. As for boost leaks I have checked and talked with CorkSport about it and done every test possible including completely disassembling then putting it back together. I am currently in the process of having CorkSport replace the entire unit under my warranty because I have eliminated everything else out I believe. Besides that I have gone a step farther I think and replaced the lower O2 sensor when replacing my turbo back exhaust. I have a high flow cat option when I purchased the turbo back exhaust from CorkSport so I don't think it is an issue with that. I've recently been reading a lot on the forums about the "open loop" exhaust system that occurs with the two O2 sensors (I hope I am saying this right), and I really believe that in my haste to put on the down pipe that I may have slightly damaged the upper O2 port. Either way, I think that replacing and upgrading the spark plugs and replacing the upper O2 sensor should solve the issue and if not it will at least rule out what the hell is going on. Once again, Thank you Lex for being so damn active on these Forums and apparently a great tuner. Can't wait to hear from you and set up what I need to in order to avoid joinging the zoom zoom boom club . thanks guys, Andrew J. Berhorst

I picked up a set of Autolite one step colder iridium plugs from Advance Auto and they're working just fine. Might be able to get yourself a set to use in the interim.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score It isn't a huge deal for me to wait. I haven't been using the Speed6 for my daily driver because it's been having a few issues and I don't want to run it into the ground so to speak. I think swapping the 02 tonight should tell me a lot about whats going on and I'm sure that after showing Lex my data logs he will be able to pick up on it. In general the spark plugs should help smooth out my idle and keep the power band stronger correct?
