Default Noob question

I want to get tuned more boost but, I'm not sure how to go about doing it.

I've read that the ecu is very advance for our cars, does it regulate boost? or will a manual boost controller work, sorry if this sounds like a dumb question.

also when getting E-tuned for my mods and more boost how do I go about doing the logs.
I would think running more boost then stock doing the logs would be bad, right?

I'm somewhat lost on tuning for these cars

You better do some reading bro or these guys are going to rip into you. How to do logs with your ap? There's all kind of threads on this and how to's go to goggle search put in mazdaspeedfourms.org logs, maf cal ect. Anything after the org is what your searching for. Hope this helps and if you get a ass raping just take it good luck

Stratified will tell you exactly how to log and what parameters to look at. The ecu controls everything, this isnt the 60's with big block motors. You start woth an ots map on your ap, do the log how they tell you and you send it to them. The send you a revision and then you do it all over again, many times until the tune is complete.
Before you start you tell them what you are wanting as far as power and they will work with you on getting at/close to what you are wanting.
Stratified will take good care of you. They are smart patient tuners.

Now please next time before you ask a self admitted stupid question try n search for the answer first.

Before you can do anything you need an AP. I really hope you knew that. Then you can connect with an etuner on here (I like RichTune, but they're all good). At least you have internals...there's hope for you yet.

To log 4th gear at 2800rpm, hammer gas tell redline on a very flat road. Keep this road for all the logs, try to maintain same direction also
