Default A review of my Tune AFTER 6months in Canuckistan

So most reviews talk about a Stratified tune right after being done, I wanted to take a bit of a different approach to my review and post something after about 6 months and varying weather conditions.

I live in Canada, and I originally finished my tune somewhere around August of 2013. The car felt great then, powerful in all regards over stock and drove wonderfully. The second I mashed the pedal the car went to work. I felt that the throttle response was much more crisp and at any given point. If I hammered it, the car didn't hesitate at all, it just went. The weather at this point was nice, in and around the 20's and fairly dry most of the time.

Fast Forward 5-6 months, its cold, its wet/dry/snow/slush/rain and basically the opposite of the temps and weather in August. We're looking at -10 most nights, sometimes colder sometimes less but I would average it out at about -10 degrees Celsius. The car still drives well, minus the issue of SWAS/Traction Control because of the winter months (to be expected even with winter tires). With that said I still feel the pep and as well not scared to press the gas at any given point. We did a load based tune such that I can have 1 tune work throughout the whole year. Here we have decently warm/hot summers and pretty cold winters so having 1 tune was a bit worry some. I wasnt sure if 1 tune would handle both seasons with ease. I am happy to say that it does. Lex did a fantastic job, I do find that my boost is a bit lower, but thats to be expected given I am achieving the same load with less boost because of the colder denser air.

The process with Lex was super easy, he knows his stuff and is very easy to talk to. I have had a few convos at length over the phone with Lex as well and hes always been open and helpful. I wouldnt hesitate to deal with him again in any regard. If anyone is worried, or on the fence to do a tune with Lex, my advice... JUST FRIGGIN DO IT! Your car/tune would be in good hands. 2 thumbs up and a gas pedal way down!

VDYNO number are - 286whp/316wtq and peak boost is ~21psi in summer and ~17psi in winter

TLDR - Lex tune, good tune, works in all weather conditions (summer and winter), do a tune with him and you wont regret it

I also love to hear this, I am really thinking that I want Lex to tune my car sometime this spring after I finish a couple more mods.

@Lex; What is the best kind of weather to tune in to achieve a good year round tune? I am in the US Midwest and can see -20 to 105 degrees F where I live. I would love to have one good load based tune for the whole year.

We can tune anytime as long as the roads are safe to drive on. Based on the hundreds of cars we've tuned we have the experience to tune for the summer even if it is winter.

However it is nice to have ambient temperatures somewhere between the extremes.

Nice. It will be a while before the roads here are consistently safe, but nice to know I don't need to wait for summer to tune.
