Default Shooting for the Stratophere

I just bought an EBCS from Strat, and I also started an E-tune with Lex.

Currents Mods are in the sig. DP, CBE, and coilovers go on next Wednesday the 24th. EBCS will go in on Thursday. New shoes should be going on the car Friday.

I'm really doubting the 255s will fit, but the guy wants to give it a try anyway. Will switch to 235/40/18 at no charge if they won't work. These Westlakes the dealer put on, when the car was traded in, are pure fucking garbage. Zero first gear traction, with not much in second either. Did the 0-60 and 1/4 mile on the AP and my best 0-60 was 6.0 secs, and the best 1/4 mile was 14.8 at 101, with a 2.6 60'

Goals are 300whp on 93 octane gas. No e85 in Canuckistan (only E10). So that option is out.

First piece of the Puzz. Lex's EBCS.

You can tell right away this is a quality piece. The barbs won't break like the stock EBCS and the clips he provides are the coolest little things ever.

First tune sent from Strat. Going to install it next week after I get this issue with my front 02 sensor straightened out. I think it got banged around a little during DP install.

Fitted Stratified's EBCS. Easy mod to do. But if you have a CorkSport TIP the barb on their piece is only 1/8" which is too small to get a good seal with the 7/32" hose that Lex recommends to connect to the EBCS. I had to use the CS supplied hose on the intake, then connect through a univeral hose connector to the 7/32" hose. Not hard, but just something I thought I would put up here, in case someone searches this one day.

The TIP is the low pressure side of the system so while the hoses should be snug, they don't hold any boost and don't need to be extremely tight.

The larger barbs were chosen to better match the high pressure ports on the turbo and WG.

Yeah it was defintiely, audibly leaking before. I could make it worse by rocking the engine, by either accelerating, or breaking hard. After I switched back to their hose it went away.

Ok I got the front o2 sensor replaced. I know for sure the guy who did my exhaust broke it as I saw no evidence he disconnected the wire harness and cut all the stock ties so that you don't twist the wiring when swapping it between DPs. SAYS SO RIGHT IN THE INSTRUTCTIONS! I If it was more than $130 for the part I would have made him pay for it, but I won't make a stink over that much money, since he did a good job on the custom piping.

Anyway I have Lex's 1.00 tune in. The car runs GREAT. The closed loop mode is so efficient I'm barely touching boost in everyday driving now. Even thou this is a power tune I imagine I will get better mileage anyway.

Logs are attached for anybodies curiousity. Barely any knock, and boost is not spiking bad and appears to be holding well. Can't wait for the VD results.

First tune sent from Strat. Going to install it next week after I get this issue with my front 02 sensor straightened out. I think it got banged around a little during DP install.

Fitted Stratified's EBCS. Easy mod to do. But if you have a CorkSport TIP the barb on their piece is only 1/8" which is too small to get a good seal with the 7/32" hose that Lex recommends to connect to the EBCS. I had to use the CS supplied hose on the intake, then connect through a univeral hose connector to the 7/32" hose. Not hard, but just something I thought I would put up here, in case someone searches this one day.

Here's my first VD. Remember I'm not looking for max HP. But drivability and power across the band. Tune is still in progress.

+32 HP, +51 TQ. Needless to say I'm pretty happy with Stratified's work so far.

Awesome numbers! I've gained around 20whp already just from adjusting timing/load/fueling and Lex hasn't even touched the boost tables yet... really nice results so far

Is CF 1.01 and smoothing 3 still the most accuate VD setting when it comes to the Speed 3?

This is great to hear. I just received my Stratified Auto EBCS and am waiting to install it. I was wondering how the CorkSport Barb on the inlet pipe was supposed to fit over the fittings on the EBCS. Glad a 1/8 to 7/32 connector and hose solves the problem.
