Default Tune Officially Complete!

Decal arrived in the mail last night. The tune wasn't truly complete until it was affixed to the car!



Thank you again @Lex; for everything you did. The car feels great! My only regret is that we couldn't push the tune further. Damn CA gas... Looking forward to working with you again in the future on an E85 tune.

And of course, anyone on the fence about Stratified, do yourself a favor and contact Lex, you won't be disappointed!


For those that wanted to know, my numbers on VD are:
CF 1.01: 265hp/306tq
DynoJet: 286hp/331tq

Planning on taking it to a dyno soon, so I'll be able to post up some real numbers.

For the 91 CA fuel sufferers, E85 makes a big difference. Alternatively WMI can also be used but if E85 is conveniently located it's almost a necessity to push the parts already installed.

What are your numbers? Im curious since your mods are quite similar to mine. Also @Lex do you recommend a touch-up after adding a CBE? Im guessing it won't affect the tune much if at all

Added numbers to OP.

They aren't the best, but we hit the knock threshold really quick due to California's inferior 91 gas. Hopefully once I start running E-85, Lex will be able to push the tune well beyond what it's at now.

We get the same shitty gas here in Arizona so I feel your pain. Why can't 93 just be the standard across the country.

As I read all these posts of crap 91 and rare ethanol. I am disheartened for you folks west.

As all stations around me have 93 and e85 is only 5 miles away.

we have 94 up here but it behaves like 91 from California. Even if fuel is rated the same, it often doesn't perform consistently and it's very much region to region.

The CBE shouldn't affect much. However over some time the motor does undergo some changes, fuel quality may change etc. So it's not a bad idea to send me a couple of logs to look at after your install.

funny, 265/300 is pretty much where I landed on our crap 91 octane gas here. When we touched up on 94, I think it jumped closer to 280/320 or so. Either way, those are solid numbers considering the fuel quality!
