I didn't install a TIP until after the downpipe. Made a noticeable difference, which is weird. I guess the TIP does become a bottle neck at some point, though probably not until you're almost fully bolted. Got the JBarone side mounts instead of the CP-e mounts. SU mounts look to be a little bit cheaper still and people love those as well. JBarone mounts replace the bottom portion on the transmission mount, while others replace just the plate (... I think... don't remember fully CP-e's design) Honestly, if I was getting an intake for the first time, I'd just get whatever came up used unless you have your heart set on a SRI or a CAI. Or, if you're planning on getting an accessport, I wouldn't even bother with one of the name brand intakes - just get a section of 3" MAF housing: 3" MAF Housing - Billet Aluminum-for DENSO Element And a 3" filter. I don't know a whole lot about filters so I won't express a preference for one or the other, but I'd invest in a high quality filter FWIW. Get some "mounting hardware" from lowes/home depot, and you've got an intake for less than $200. You're also going to need a coupler to reduce it down to the stock TIP, I forget what diameter it is though. Also, I'm sure you can find the MAF housing for cheaper than $90, it was just the first thing that came up.

| Not Ranked : 0 score So, I have the COBB SRI installed. The engine feels better, 1l per 100km better on gas (so it will pay it self in 2000km). The sound is great, no need to waste money on a BPV until it leaks on higher boost level but that will be next year.

| Not Ranked : 0 score It's basically like the 2nd half of the intake right before it reaches the turbo. Just helps remove more of the stock bottleneck. If you're getting an intake, just get one with a TIP. And yes, you should get a tune and fuel pump upgrade if you plan on doing ANY power mods. That, more than anything else, will give you more useable power and ensure you're running safe. |

| You won't know unless you have the Cobb Access Port to monitor your fuel pressure. Personally, I'm waiting to order my SRI and TIP. I'll order that, the AP and internals all at once. Then you can tune for your upgrades and actually see some power increases.

I'm not trying to be a dick but maybe you should search and read some before posting I'm sure someone has posted their review of the corksport somewhere on this website somewhere, lots of people have bought them There's been some debate about whether a TIP makes any difference at all on the stock turbo, so if you read and decide it isn't worth it for you, then you might well go with a different one. But if you read and decide that you want it, then you might want to spend the extra $$$ and get the combo pack Again, if it were one size fits all this thread would be 1 post long But it isn't So to answer your question . . . It depends. You're going to get a lot more answers doing a simple search than you will asking people which intake they'd recommend. Do you want an oiled filter? A dry flow? Do you want stock MAF diameter? An air straightener? Where do you want to draw air from? The engine bay, the tire well? Are you planning on modifying the car further? Do you have a preference for color? Warranty? How experienced are you at working on cars? What climate do you live in? Do you have a tuning solution? Every one of those questions is something that could swing your decision one way or the other. The point is search before you post. Your question has been answered hundreds of thousands of times over. No matter what your question is, unless you're dropping in a corvette engine and converting to RWD, your question has been answered.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I didn't have any issues with CEL's at all. But, to be honest if I had it to do again I would've done AP first. Much better power gains and a way to monitor what's going on with your car. AP is all win all day.

| Not Ranked : 0 score No, the AP comes with what they call Off The Shelf maps. You pick the OTS that matches your mods, flash it and go. You also can download ATR and self-tune, or get an e-tune from one of our tuners, all of which are very good. Go to Gen 2 General Discussion and click on the "link to all ultimate resource threads" near the top, its a sticky. Read all of those links and you have a better idea of what's up with your car, and modding. If you need anyhing else, let me know.

| Not Ranked : 0 score @shawn19 On Cobb's website the AP OTS maps are available for just about every intake on the market, Corksport included. But, you shouldn't have any issues running it without an AP if that's the route you choose. I ran mine for about 3 months without an AP, no problems. But like I said earlier, if I were to go back and do it again. AP would definately be my first mod.

| Not Ranked : 0 score According to Virtual Dyno, which has been proven fairly accurate. I am sitting at 240whp/270wtq. I could get more out of the intake, but I am tuning around the stock pump. So, I am being pretty conservative with the boost. People are ribbing you because if you searched and read a few threads on your own you can find these answers. I don't mind helping, but poke around the forum a bit and learn about your car. Take it easy and happy boosting.

I've been lurking, learning, and posting on this forum for several months and I'm not even getting my speed3 'til January (and I've never been flamed). Learn how to do the forum thing the right way and it'll be a huge benefit to you. MSF is 100x better than any other car forum I've been a part of. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I would go with the stage 2 package with the TIP included. Do you have an AP? Because that and ATR is what I'm using to tune.
