bnoon, i am prob goin to get the cxracing one the same as yours, just pissed with the exchange rate..... Im just playing around with a few different intakes atm then will get the cooler and make up another intake and box to suit. I cant wait to get this first service out of the way with Mazda then it all go with the mods!! Im hangin!!!!

Below are more options for a heat exchanger... these are 3 row, 1 inch tubes with very low pressure drop.

Absolute Radiator Intercooler Store

Should be no problems fitting either in the MS3.

UPDATE: Still waiting on dyno numbers for you guys. My car is in the shop right now getting a new clutch installed. I was supposed to dyno it on the 1st but never made it there.

IDRVSLO - Were you able to run the Cobb AP with your W-A IC? Did you notice any difference with A/F ratios, or knock, etc.?

Also, minus the W-A IC (I have a 3.25" ETS TMIC), we have similar bolt-ons except for the N2MB WOT Box w/ 2 step. Do you recomend the N2MB WOT Box w/ 2 step?

I am running it with the AP just fine. Hits target boost levels easily. Never saw a change in knock or AFRs. I 100% recommend the WOT box. It is a great piece of equipment.

i'm really curious about this as well.
i'm not exactly sure i'm understanding this correctly.

you have an intercooler that also uses water. you have a tank of water that feeds to the intercooler. and voila...powah???

you circulate water around the IC instead of air. the water goes to the heat exchanger to stay cool. no more heatsoak, less lag than FMIC. more boost too if your IC core has a lower pressure drop than stock.

IDRVSLO, any plans for making a WTA FMIC kit still? It seems like there's a lot of interest in it...

Is there at least a how-to guide somewhere? This is really interesting, did you record your BATs at all while you had it? Thanks.

edit: Looking up stuff on ebay - this looks like it would be a great option for the gen 2 where there isn't really enough room for a big core on a FMIC. Only thing is price - the core itself is $300, and you still need a radiator, piping, hoses, etc. Still really interested though, if I end up with another gen 2 I will definitely be looking into this.

Sorry guys I have been off of the forums for over a year, sold the MS3 after my deployment to Afghanistan. If I had a Gen1 or 2 in PA that is local to Pittsburgh I can create a kit for you. I would need the car for around a week....and the funds to build it of course. Thanks for the compliments guys.

Guys, I am back from the dead. This kit was sold in 08 to another member. I will be doing one for the MS6 down the road...probably summer time. This did not cause the engine to pop. I was Etuning with COBB years ago before they really knew what was up with the ECUs. Car was full bolted, fuel pump...etc. Lacked meth and was running the K04. So...a recipe for disaster as we know now. If I had a local MS3 I could replicate the kit with a few changes. I might produce a kit for the MS6, larger pump, water/ice tank...etc.

any updates to this thread? have you made a MS6 kit yet, as well as any more MS3 kits? would be very interested to run a kit such as this vice a TMIC
