Default Blanco's BT Build

I finally decided to stop being a bitch and do some real modding by deciding to go BT at the beginning of the year. Being that this is my DD, I bought another engine to build and limit down time.



I also bought a GT3076R but just sold that last week and picked up a PTE5858:



So, this is where I'm at now. If I stop being lazy, I'll tear down the engine and take it to the machine shop.

The Parts List:
Precision Turbo Kit (5858 already purchased)
HTP 3.5" Intake
3-Port EBCS
JBR Oil Pan Baffle & BSD
ARP Main Studs
OEM Head Bolts
Manley Rods
CP Pistons
ACT Clutch
ACT Flywheel
Edge Stage 3 Motor Build Kit
Perm PCV Plate
SSP OCC
Meth Kit
3 Bar MAP Sensor
JMF V2 Intake Manifold

That's just off the top of my head so I'm probably missing some things. The biggest thing right now is deciding what I want done/what's necessary to do at the machine shop.

Some questions:
1. With a goal of 450-500whp; is a keyed crank necessary?
2. Head work?

Keyed crank and head work aren't needed. Interesting how you're going with oem head studs though.

i was boosting 27+lbs of boost and my oem studs were fine. ive read of engines 500+whp on stock head bolts.

Me too...I'm working 6 days/wk in order to fund this build so it's making it hard to get things dropped off where they need to be.

Hopefully, I'll have time to work on the engine this weekend.

Yeah, I finally got the motor over to the machine shop a few days ago. They will start on it on May 8th.

Question,

With the jmf manifold you need to delete the vtcs. One cel to remove via ap.

With the kozmic DP, no cat, so another cel to remove via ap.

Then the EGR delete, causes another cel.

So there will be 3 "not readys" during inspection.

What's your plan? I'm kinda in the same boat right now..
