Default DM PMM releases today!

We got our first batch of PMMs a bit ahead of schedule. We were planning on releasing them Thursday, but we have many in stock and ready to go out today!

Head over to Passenger Side Motor Mount: Mazdaspeed3 | Damond Motorsports and place your order!

For those who've purchased our RMM in the past, you've been emailed a discount code, to knock the price down to $215, free US shipping.

For those looking for our PMM and RMM, use code: "RMMplusPMM" upon checkout, and receive a discount that makes the price $360, free US shipping.

Shipping internationally is calculated upon checkout.

I'm just waiting some video ... that show the mirror doesn't shake like my last JBR 70 PMM and maybe some video from the interior a different idle ... to show how quiet this piece is.

Corksport succeeded in creating a video that met all of your needs but yet has one of the worse passenger motor mounts for NVH in my opinion; even worse than a JBR mount with 88 duro.

Videos do nothing for items such as this, real life experience or true evaluations by peers but even that is totally subjective.

All credit on this mount goes to Farhan. Along with designing the RMM as well. I played small role on this project.

One of our testers was running the 80 JBR prior, his review is posted on our site: Passenger Side Motor Mount: Mazdaspeed3 | Damond Motorsports

Negative. Always a team effort.

Note that the reviewer that replaced the JBR 80 with ours still has an aftermarket TMM. It is my OPINION that is the reason he still has high(er) NVH. He is very interested in trying ours once it is available.

This is correct. I have the TRZ TMM and that thing is pretty stiff. Transmission noise is my life. I am really excited to see what you all cook up for a TMM.

This is a great mount guys. I ended up selling my JBR mount shortly after I installed this puppy.

Hopefully you guys will have them in stock next month. The JBR 80 sometimes gets tiring on long trips.

why u make so many color choices? the decision to go PMM is hard enough w/o choice of material color.

j/k the mount looks great

Ordered! Can't wait to have a Damond Motorsports tranny mount and complete the set.

@Farhan@DM;

Do you have any input on why the OEM PMM/RMM bushings would be oriented the opposite direction on the MS3?

I have your RMM and enjoy it greatly, the PMM looks amazing but the almost wifey won't approvie car part with a wedding around the corner .

Not completely sure on what you mean by opposite directions. Do you mean different directions in the mounts, or OEM vs. ours?

Whoops. I had a derp.

I meant you have the bushing absorbing NVH in a completely different plane in both cases.

Basically comes down to different requirements lead to different mounts. Requirement number 1 for the whole mounting system is make sure the engine doesn't fall out. After that, requirements change between manufacturers.

OEM mounts give priority to NVH, and put holding the motor in place (not to be confused with keeping the motor in the car) at a lower priority. The OEM PMM, for example, takes the weight of the motor over the largest section of bushing, one way to cut down NVH. The function of keeping the motor from moving is handled by the rubber pivoting and bending in both the longitudinal and transverse axis. Not exactly a robust system, but it keeps NVH way down.

For us, stopping the motor motion is a much larger priority. However, because we also care about NVH, we try to take the motor load and motor weight across a large section. In this case, it's a cylinder so both sections are the same. On the third, transverse axis, we let the bushing flanges hit the side of the bushing housing. This loading is the worst for NVH, so we only use it on the axis with the least load.

TL;DR; because we like our shit sideways

You could have just said you liked the color combos the DM mounts come in instead of taking a dump on your old mounts as an excuse to replace them

Mount is installed.

Initial impressions: More noise than my CP-E 60A duro passenger mount that it replaces. Quite noticeable noise at idle and throughout the rev band. Oddly enough, however, there are almost no additional vibes that I noticed in my short 5 min drive.

On the plus side, the mount feels SUPER solid. And the engine is going nowhere during hard shifting. Very robust design.

So why am I hearing more gear noise? I thought TMMs gave you more noise, PMMs not so much.

I read on the reviews on your site that the mount noise may settle down after the bushing has had a little time to break in.

Also, anyone who's going to install this mount, have one of these handy:

Specifically, 17mm:

Otherwise, you are going to have a hell of a time getting a wrench on those 17mm nylon lock nuts.

Last thought: the mount studs came out during removal of the old mount. So, per the instructions, I threaded them back in and continued with the installation. My concern (after my CP-E tranny mount came apart due to screws working themselves loose) is: what's preventing the studs from working themselves loose?

You can get a socket on that nut. The studs should stay in place with the proper torque, but you could always loctite them.

I put the mount together and then installed it by unbolting the RMM. I had to damn near dropkick my engine to get the RMM bolted back up.

Noticibly less vibes in the cabin. Every passenger so far has commented on said lack of vibes. I am coming from a jbr 80 duro pmm

I received mine Friday right before I flew out of town. I assembled the mount and left it chilling on my work bench. I fly back Monday night and believe me, that shit is getting installed and test driven when I arrive

Noticibly less vibes in the cabin. Every passenger so far has commented on said lack of vibes. I am coming from a jbr 80 duro pmm
Awesome news, I have an 88 Duro I'm replacing.

Hoping a local DFW Nator gets this so I can check it out. As my power increases so does my need to keep everything under control but NVH is a definite concern for me

What other mounts do you have?

Well being VIP is one thing

I know this might be a bit far for you but we have a weekly meet that happens on Wednesday in Mckinney (hang out, work on cars and whatnot)

I should have been more specific. The studs loosened AND the nuts came off the studs. So I threaded the studs back in, gave them a light tightening with my E10 torx socket, and then put the nuts on them. I subsequently tightened the nuts per the instructions.

Install video is up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnm3...ature=youtu.be

Use the guide primarily, but we wanted to add a video to aid in the install. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/04...peed3.pdf?1340

Well got to sit in @dinoxor's car last night since he came over to NoND meet

We got his CP-E Stage 2 RMM installed (forgot to sit in it prior to install) and vibes weren't as bad as I thought they'd be.

There is an increase in vibes over just have the CP-E S2 (which I have) but can't really judge since he just got the DM mount installed this weekend and the CP-E last night so break in hasn't really finished yet.

Gonna wait and once mounts are broken in will be able to decide better on if I'm going this route.
