Mazdaspeed6 PMM

Yeah we make one for the MS6 now. It's pretty great. Don't take my word for it, checkout the reviews it's been getting here on the product page: https://damondmotorsports.com/collec...nt=29661690705

I was like "hell yes!" until I saw the price....maybe in a few months I can justify the cost. Nice design! I'm sure a lot of time and research went into it and is well worth the money. Thank you for continuing to develop better parts for the MS6.

I cannot seem to find an install guide for this mount. Is it safe to say that the install for this mount is the same as the JBR mount?

Let me start my saying that I am not a DIY person, but this mount on a scale of 1 to 10, was a 2 to install. Very easy and very quick, all the holes lines up perfect.

I took a 'before' decibel reading inside the cabin with HVAC off, in neutral, hot engine idling. The average was 55db

Installed the mount, went for drive, came back and did another reading under the same conditions and the reading increased to 66db. 11db may sound a lot, but honestly, it is nothing. Hardly noticeable to my ears.

As for the mount, I haven't driven in anger yet, but first impressions are great.

Thanks for the quick delivery Damond Motorsports, much appreciated.

I just thought I would give a quick 2 week update now that the PMM is fully broken in.

The car drives beautifully (that's the most thing right?) and the cabin noise has now decreased to 59db on idle.

All in all I am very pleased and eagerly awaiting the release of the TMM

Thanks for sharing the data. Glad you like it, and it's even better when being beat on.

There are so many projects in process for the 6, I can't seem to complete any of them.

I have spent the last few weeks trying to find the source of a mysterious clunking noise when I pull away from standstill. I was convinced it was steering / suspension related.

Anyway, last night I thought I would look inside the engine bay and tighten everything up, and I was surprised to see that two of PMM bolts were loose. I tightened those suckers up and the clunk noise disappeared.

This is not a criticism of the PMM, but it is a reminder to check your mounts at least every 6 months!

Good catch and safe motoring.

When torqued properly, they shouldn't come loose.

Always recheck bolts... At least if your paranoid andOCD like I am....
