Default We're working on MS6 stuff.

I myself have owned two MS6's, and @Farhan@DM; has had his for like 900 years, that being said we came to the Mazdaspeed world via the MS6.
We haven't forgotten about this car, and we're working to better the 6 platform with DM products.

I'll be sure to make more formal threads pertaining to the specific parts, in due time, but for now I just wanted to show y'all the RMM we have in the works for the 6.

And it helps there is an extra 6 parked in front of Farhans garage that will put motor mounts to work for sure.

Want to make us really happy. We need a good FMIC kit that does not require cutting the crash bar or a replacement crash bar for mounting a FMIC.

Hey Matt-

If I could make one suggestion, it's to maybe run the mount a little narrower so you can space the poly away from the mounting points. Otherwise the poly gets pretty chewed up. I guess functionally it doesn't make a huge difference but it always kind of annoyed me.

That's why I liked the CP-E because the mount is narrower and the spacers are the only points that make contact with the car mounts. This probably cuts down on NVH a bit since there is a little more isolation form the rubber and keeps the sides from getting torn up.

Not coincidentally, this is like the stocker.

I could see how this would add to cost since their rubber is formed to the mount though, vs just having poly bushings and spacer. I guess if you don't run the poly to the ends then the poly mounts can maybe walk out though... hmm.. Maybe a narrower mount, narrower bushings and then some sleeves/spacers to hold it together.

Anyways, just points of consideration.
WetzMS3 and Farhan@DM like this.

Bushings in the rear don't touch the body. The stock tangs/hooks hold them in place, like they should. Thank you so much for the constructive feedback.

Beta parts are outbound.

RMM, really, wtf? We are way past this point. This is what I want for Christmas 2015:

A super efficient dual- or triple-flow radiator with one fan + a FMIC. All inlets/outlets on the radiator are in the same location as stock. The IC cold pipe would probably have to drop down and be routed under the radiator/IC bracket as most people have a condenser in front but you get the idea. On my race car I could run a thicker core as the condenser is gone.

Yes, I am in for a very good FMIC solution from just a crash bar up to full system. This is severely lacking in our space right now. The CP-E system and Corksport both had too many compromises to be meaningful systems and the hack/slash universal solutions were just that.

Diff mounts and fmic please, there are already 5 different companies putting out great mounts right now

You would kill it with an affordable, hassle free fmic kit

Definitely subscribed for FMIC solutions. @Code Monkey; nailed it that'd be a wonderful setup over current options. It'd be even better if it came with ducting to channel the air directly through the two units and maximize airflow through them. My $.02.

I'd be interested to see what kind of bracing could be designed to help out in the twisties as well.

Subscribing and paying more attention in this area.

The CP-E piece is decent but the turbine tech front diff mount is never in stock / slightly over priced in my opinion

a true short shift kit would be sick too

and I'm just not gonna buy any sure product ever, fill the voids bro!

another single exit catback would be pretty legit too, CP-E's is great but if you can beat it on price (probably wouldn't be that hard to) I'm sure quite a few would sell, cp-e seems to have trouble stocking parts at times and corksports catback is heavy / expensive / is corksport.

Kozmic is the only one right now developing a PTE flanged DP, that might be worth looking into as well

I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet but we need one of these

PS a crashbar that can accommodate a real core (TR8+) would be lovely. It's not hard to make a FMIC kit, any joe shmoe can do it, but we really need a crashbar that isn't $500.

^ If anything, I want an full replacement extender with a short-shifter like the discontinued Corksport's (pictures here), or, if it is just an SSP, please make it bolt on both sides so it does not come loose mid-session at the track.

1. Adjustability
2. I can watch the stock plastic flex if I shift hard enough
3. Durability (I've seen some stock shifters with stupid amounts of play in them due to wear)

1. Please elaborate. Adjustability of what?
2. Do you see it flex mid shift, or after you've hit the gate? (I hope you're not driving and looking at your shifter at the same time)
3. Where are they wearing?

I'd like clarity on these issues because I don't have any issues in my 6, so I'd like to know what might come, and so that I know what problems may need addressing if we do go forward with this.

@SBMS316; please elaborate on the needs on the short shifter for our platform.
For one thing is the plastic guide that prevents you from going into reverse wears thin and give you that not so smooth shift to 2nd gear. If you own a 6 or any first Gen 1 3 I'm pretty sure you know that feeling.

@Farhan@DM;

How many miles on that car must be an 07, that was cryogenically frozen.

Late 07, ~117k miles on it. I do have that wear from the lockout. That I will absolutely agree with. You surely don't want a full replacement just for that.
