You say this is dry carbon, but then say you use a "fade-resistant resin" in the layup. Isn't dry carbon pre-empregnated with resin such that you're only using a minimal amount anyway?

That's exactly the point is was hoping a response would get to. Dry carbon isn't normally that glossy because of the pre-preg method. Extra gloss = extra resin= extra weight.

While the weight doesn't matter here that is typically the case.

I'm very interested in their methods however.

are you really worried about extra weight on extra parts?

Nope, but anybody who buys these and tries to pull the "dry carbonz, yo!" card is drinking too much of the kool aid.

well our methods are proprietary so i cant exactly explain it in detail but it is in fact true carbon fiber, all we do is more or less polish the parts up as part of our finishing process to give it a better shine for the "ricers" out there :laugh2: we just dont go to the extreme of putting on a million coats of gel to make it all super glossy like the stuff you get from china or what not.

There is no question that its carbon but do you use an autoclave or even a vacuum bag to set these up? If not you're not selling dry carbon.

we use a vaccum infused process, i found an old honda tuning article where we explained the process in detail
