Aftermarket MS6 Steering Wheel

This is a great option and glad to see it! Thanks for the information JH. One thing I wanted to throw out there is that CS sent me an email in response to a question about the MS6 steering wheels I sent while ago.

They stated they have been in the works and are working out a casting issue but are in development. No definite time provided from them (thinking two weeks? haha)... I don't think it will be all too different from these that are already available! So it seems we'll have a few options available at least instead of just one.

I'm curious, when did you send that original e-mail and when did they respond to you? did they say how long they have been working on it? and did they say anything about customizing it or do you get what they make?

I sent an email about a month ago and got an answer today. I should've been more specific they were talking specifically about casting costs. I'm guessing since they sell less units of the MS6 they probably won't make enough in most instances to make enough money on the product.

Sounds like they're trying to source a cheaper MFR of the metal structure. They did state it's been a while and going on for much longer than they would have liked but no definitive data. I didn't ask any actual questions about the customization, go forth and submit a product idea request and feel free to ask, the more interest shown they might actually get them done quicker.

It has held up perfectly fine so far. Car doesn't get daily driven so it may be prone to a little bit more wear if you are daily driving the car. But I still love it and don't regret a thing!

i think i'm gonna bite the bullet and order one. getting tired of waiting on corksport, i've put in 2 product requests for an ms6 steering wheel as well everyone else and have not heard shit about it.

I found a custom RX8 wheel on ebay and went for it.
Splines are the same. Horn/airbag piece not interchangeable however.
Looks OEM legit.

I really like that. The wheel looks nicely bolstered. Mind me asking how much you paid?

Also did you retain horn and airbag function? Do the buttons still work?

I'm sure he swapped that all over. Looks like a less aggressive Corksport wheel. Def nice.

Yes, all connections are the same.
And I used the stock MS6 wheel on the CX7

Got mine in the mail and installed today. fits perfectly, had to swap the button circuit boards since i modified all my lights to blue. The only complaint i have with mine is the blue stitching and center stripe i chose is a lot lighter than i had hoped...and clashed with my interior. my have to try and sell it to get another.

First day driving with the new steering wheel, Here is my report.

I love it! It feels very comfortable on the hands both normal driving and doing some aggressive hard quick turns. The flat bottom of course is a nice feature not only for leg room, but also seems like it makes it easier and quicker to turn the wheel from one extreme to the other. I have mine in all Alcantra , it provides i nice no slide surface....a few times on the oem wheel, my hand has slid off while turning. All in all, it really just seems like a way better fit for the car. The stitching and craftsmanship is perfect, i have not found a single flaw on mine yet. yes it would be nice if the thumb grips were a little more pronounced and defined, but i barely ever hold my wheel at those positions anyways. I know it does not say it on his ebay page, but if you message him...you can request a different center stripe (if you want one).
Hope this helps anybody else still on the fence about getting one.
