the slave end is special, i'm not aware of anything aftermarket that could fit there.
You would either need your old end and custom make a union with a new aftermarket line but there is also a flex hose so....The easiest remain to get the correct part from Mazda or get it used

Oh I know, I ordered the line and slave from edge autosports, OEM, i’m just asking if anyone knows HOW to change that hard line, the slave is easy, just a little nervous about changing that line since the new slave is an updated design and doesnt fit the stock pipe line that’s on the car from factory.

is it a 6 ? i replaced the slave on my 2007 3 after an ACT clutch install but i didn't bother with the hard line...there is just a clip that secure it there.
The other end is a screwed fitting so it work like any other fitting.
The slave end is sealed by an o ring. So you make sure it is clean, you oil it a bit, you push it there and put back the clip.
The part that could be a a little more challenging is to bleed it.
Personally, i would remove the old slave from the trans but leave it piped. I would install the new one and try to do as much as possible to reduce the time the master is leaking to avoid emptying the tank. (Or you could get a friend to hold the hose end in the air blocking it with his finger until you install everything else...)

To bleed
open the bleeder untill you see oil comming out.
close the bleeder
have the same friend to pump the clutch
Have him to hold it down
open the bleeder
Close the bleeder
release the pedal
start again untill at least 2 time you don't see air going out or until the pedal feel good.
Take a look at oil level each time to make sure you don't run out of oil...

I believe it is, I did do the replacement a few months back but the newer slave wont work with the old line. The line is so easy to replace though its like a foot long and has a staple type clamp to clamp it to the line that goes to the master cylinder, if you’re gonna get the new slave get the line as well, takes an extra 2 minutes I promise
