Just out of my own curiosity, I was trying to find a correction factor for his times with cooler temps (lower DA in low to mid 3000s), but I couldn't find a good CF calculator for some good old ricer math.

The drag times calculator suggested that the temps don't make a huge difference in turbo cars; much more in na. Probably for the same reason CAIs don't do much compared to SRIs on our cars. With 85-90f temps, all else being the same it still has him in very low 11s- 11.02 to be exact.

If you use the drag times app and correct it, it puts him at like 10.9@137....

However this is still not a clean run in the car, and watching the video you can see it. The 60ft needs to be 1.75 or better consistently, and we need it to not bounce the rev limiter so hard in 1st and 2nd. every time it hits that limiter, we are losing time. This power and trap speed will go 10.7 with just a couple changes to the tune and launch.

Try to ffs 1-2, hit 2nd in power, and let me know how quick 2nd gear goes up in smoke lol.

1-2 shift will definitely help a ton, I'm not disputing that, I just haven't seen anyone at this power level be able to shift into second with power and not smoke the tires, so instead, it's a slower shift, respool, spin only at the top of 2nd.

Then man had 134 traps. Lord jesus so much car was not used during that pass its a shame. Even that 1/8 and 1/4 trap is off. Probably will shoot up once he gets out the cars way and let it work. Tune is popping though, shit was pulling real righteous up top.

Big difference between 650 and 500 though. I've run both without any boost by gear and I only had spinning issues when well over 600. Track prep also plays a big role in this, but honestly, it's just too much tq hitting on the 1-2 ffs.

And I may be totally wrong, but I don't think "Boost by gear" was exactly dialed in on these runs, so it's about as good as mbc for the 1/8

First run we made on this setup was full power all gears. It literally blew the tires off from beginning to end of the track. Trust me when I say that if we tried the 793 map tomorrow. We wouldn't run better than a 13-14 sec pass. You can only make up so much time in the back half

Trying to fuck with too many things at once is going to leave you back peddling and second guessing. We have 3rd and 4th gear perfect right now. So we need to concentrate on the most critical part, and that is the first two gears and getting out of the hole

in my experience on a car with the boost and power of bryces car that day would drop around 2/10ths and 2-3mph at 4k DA ...... remember larger turbos create their own atmospheric conditions (hence why u will only see turbocharged vehicles at pikes peaks hill climb) .... naturally aspirated that day my car would have been over half a second and 5-6 mph slower than sea level air .....

it really doesnt matter that the DA is was or will be ...the shit is just homework .... u want a badass timeslip then dial in the motherfucker year around and then on a nice 65-70 degree day (colder than that and bai bai traction) and go to a real track say bakersfield and go get your timeslip ..... this track is for fun and homework never for timeslips

p.s this track has an inclined back half as well ..... go search around for Road & Track or Car & Driver 1/4 mile videos at fontana and u will notice one lil discrepancy .... they run them back wards because then they are downhill ....no joke i swear on my sons life

as far as shifting faster , i recommend always 3 things... a) look at logs and constant speed (speed without acceleration ) this will tell u how much time u wasting on the shifts , .100 to .300 is the norm b) when u kick the clutch dont pivot your ankle joint as u push down with leg...simply kick a stiff leg fwd ...less muscles and joints involved quicker u move and c ) push on the shifter (make sure the fucker dont go out of gear without the clutch) before u kick the clutch so as soon as u kick the clutch the shifter already has force and moves quicker without u having to react .... the clutch basically releases the shifter that already wants to move but cant ...


im not a good lift speed shifter... maybe cause im a fucken whale no clue ...so i have to cheat to be quick (powershifting always) never lift.... thats how i cheat .... and thats how i can run quicker than the noob next to me
