As our cars get older we'll have more break downs at the Gap. I attended the Deals Gap Rotary Rally one year and those guys expected their cars we're going to break. The event is getting smaller every year because they don't trust their cars to make a long road trip and then traverse the Dragon a few times and make it back home.

You don't need to upgrade the front sway but the rear sway makes a big difference.

Yeah....those Volvo owners are a strange breed. I found an online post awhile back from them complaining about an "Aggressive Mazda group that showed up unannounced" and ran "Nut to butt" and nearly ruined the weekend. Yes, we were so unannounced that we rented the entire microtel, hosted the mayor for a dinner, and made a huge contribution to the local food bank. So sorry we didn't post on your forum wall to announce that we would be taking over the town for the weekend. Heads up, we're coming back!

We did get a little aggressive last year. Thats not really a thing we want to be known for.

Everyone just keep a cool level head and the slow pokes will eventually get out of the way. If not....pull over and wait...or take another run through. We don't want a bad stigma. Brings the fun level down or extra cops are sent to supervise.

Great idea. I like the idea of keeping it on the DL, not just on the TOD site but everywhere else too. In fact I kind of object to their implied suggestion that you should announce a group being there. They're all public roadways, it's not a debutante ball.

Agreed on this one too, and one reason I want to mostly drive the less-traveled roads this year. Last year on the way out the skyway was a blast, though it did have some fallen branches and debris and the 15 miles I spent behind a fifth wheel sucked.

The Volvo crew was OK. It was the cruiser bikes that slowed us down twice on the entire 11 miles. Yes, ENTIRE.

Dumb cunt called the cops on "us" said she was scared for her life. Cop didn't give a shit.

I miss being up there. I think about it daily and it puts me in a good mood.
