would getting the 100Y be better than the 97. A bit of a heavier load index for my heavy ass car. Car weighs 300lbs more with sound deading speakers and crap.

Sincerely doubt it matters as they're typically rated for gross vehicle weight, and might weigh a bit less for rotating mass. Obviously you're not about balls out performance toting 300 extra lbs all the time - so use your best judgment. I doubt you can go wrong here.

Just picked up a set of these for free off my road hazard warranty. Only done one autoX on them (and they are my DD tires), but they seem pretty good and beefy. Not quite as much grip as my Star Specs, but totally worth that price. Especially with that deep tread and high treadwear rating!

These are actually priced really got at costco with $70 instant rebate mine would be 849.96 + $60* = 909.96 for 245/40ZR18/XL 97(Y) installed. Not as good as sears would be with 10% discover cashback but then $100 install

Wow $25 off, free ship so even better deal than sears was. Comes to 787.00 for 245s. Wish I could make it a bit slicker but the $70 visa card promo expired for discount tire.

Then tire rack has the $70 MIR so comes to $738.

I purchased my last set of tires from Discount Tire Direct and loved the whole experience. That site has fantastic deals.

No. Have to get installed at a Costco. Worth it if near one though as cheaper than getting installed at most place ($15/tire vs $25/tire). Maybe u/someone could buy in store and ship...

Ya. With tax at tire rack, discount tire was cheapest at $800 shipped and $100 install so over $100 savings and costco suposedly will replace rather than dealing with 3rd part tire rack crap.
