Default MS6 Issues

Alright my freind is having issues. He has a 2007 Speed6 that seems to be giving him shit today. On his way to work his car felt like it was dead, like it was running NA. He doesn't have any engine mods done to it so I doubt there is loose clamps or anything of that sort. He said it did it in all gears as well, it just felt like it would never come up on boost. What could be wrong with it?

If you hit boost cut does the car go into limp mode?
If it does, why would a completely unmodded car boost cut?
Could it have an AP tune on it? If it does how could you tell if you don't have an AP? How could you flash it back to stock? Any help is appreciated. He is going to reset the computer when he gets off of work.

Sounds like a dicked up waste gate that is staying open and not letting the turbo spool ... make sense ?

That is what I was thinking too, or something like the vac line to the WG coming loose or something along those lines.

He bought the car used and doesn't know if it was moddedmuch or not. It does have aftermarket wheels and a rear motor mount. So the likely hood of this thing having mods removed is there. It has a stock airbox looks completely stock in the engine bay.

the line coming off the WG would lead to VERY HIGH BOOST (actuator CLOSED) - not no/low boost.

just ask StreetUnitMark all about that

There could still be loose clamps even tho the car is stock.I would check all the clamps and hose for problems including the turbo inlet clamp just to rule that out.Did he check his intake filter?maybe its super dirtly and not flowing well or was it a hot day?Maybe he was just heat soaked with that tmic.Other then that stuff I dont know..Thats a good idea to reset the ecu and see how things go after that tho.
