(Thread Starter) | Neutral : +1 score now i'm thinking i'm disappointed with the performance and sound because it isn't hitting boost targets. not even close. it's on a stage 1 map and peaks at a little over 13 and runs a stable 11lbs at WOT. he had reflashed it last night and that didn't change anything. if someone could take a look at the logs and make a few recommendations it'd be awesome! thanks guys |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I would definitely recommend that your friend get on a tuning list (in no particular order) -@phate and @Bucker -@atvfreek (freek tunes) -Perm tuning list That being said, the first thing that I think you can do safely is raise the throttle requested load - per gear tables (normal bat only) to a value of 2.1 or so from 2500rpm -redline. (Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score so you're confident it's all in the tune? i should have him flash it stock and get a log of that. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score How does the car drive in vacuum? He could have a boost leak as well.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Looking @ the wgdc, I'm 90% sure it is the tune, although a moosenamedhank could have suggested an additional problem. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score maybe.... maybe not. I just think it's always a good idea to try and rule out any mechanical issues before you start digging into the tune. Unless it is obviously the tune.

If you look @ what happens when the load becomes high, the wgdc is hacked down, sometimes to zero.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I noticed the WGDCs also but don't know enough about it all to say anything. My initial thought was that it's low all across the board.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Speed 6 ots tunes are terrible IMO, but I would still flash to stock and see what happens. I also noticed that the maf cal is off by 12% that would cause an incorrect calc load reading and reduce boost drastically.

1) The AFR's are inconsistent and lean occasionally going into WOT. A Boost leak somewhere is very possible based on the boost he's getting (only 10PSI) 2) The WGDC logs looks like a classic Boost solenoid issue - be it wiring, vacuum reference lines, or a bent actuator arm. 3) Your MAF volts are telling me that either it isn't scaled right or you have a lot of air not flowing through the MAF - possibly a post MAF air leak as well. I'd really look into the mechanical health of the car, because those logs are not showing a very healthy setup. -David@COBB

| Not Ranked : 0 score i would clean your maf sensor, and recalifbrate. Before that, check all hardware; clamps, hoses, to see. I would do a boost leak test to see if you're boost leaking. Like what david say, your logs does not look healthy

| Not Ranked : 0 score Definately take the advice of some of the people above me, (finkle and cobb especially), but to me I see a poorly scaled MAF: -13 LTFT. This appears to be causing an inflated reported load and g/sec readings. If you scale the load values down 13% you end up holding about 1.6 after your initial spike. If I recall, most of teh stage one OTS maps target right around that load. Currently in stock and OTS form (MS6 at least) the car is targeting a load value, not boost. If you are at your load target, the car doesn't really care what the boost is. 15 or 10 psi doesn't matter. To me, if you had a post turbo leak, I would expect higher WGDC as the car tries to push more boost/load to compensate for the leak. So, to reiterate what others have said, first make sure you are in good mechanical order. After that you need to do a proper MAF cal and then go in and either up the load targets or switch to boost tuning and up those targets. Good luck and dont' blow it up, lol

| Not Ranked : 0 score I am 99% on the Load error comp table being an issue here. My first step would be to tear the entire intake system down to the Throttle body and make sure it is put back together properly, then jump on the tune. It needs a MAF cal and an actual tune.

| Not Ranked : 0 score With a car that has had a turbo underhood for years, all vacuum hoses and boost related hoses are suspect. Once you get everything worked out mechanically... Do an maf calibration and focus your initial efforts on the trl - x gear (norm bat) tables. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Alright! So they got the sensor cleared out (had a nice layer of dust), double checked all the clamps, peeked in on the filter and my god was that dirty. they dusted it off and he's gonna be ordering a new one but it should last. Also uninstalled / reinstalled the AP with the latest firmware, he got it flashed to the mazdaspeed cai 2 map (with air straightener) and my god is are the logs better. night and day. thanks all for the quick support and ideas. think this is a mix of car needing some loving and getting the right map on there. |
