Tune day. knock retard after 5000rpm

i had my car tuned this saturday but it didnt really work out even w/ tuning.
i had it tuned by church. issue was car is knocking after 5000rpm. he said that the car knock sensor might need to be replaced. he said that he doesnt see anything on the datalog that causes it. he even pulled some timing and still getting the same knock degree. We are assuming that its the knock sensor. i also read about it saying its too sensitive.

i made 277whp @ 5381rpm (18psi). Kinda dissapointed about it. i think he stops after knock is being detected because its already retarding timing.

earlier this morning. i tried to put some cushion on top of the knock sensor because i think its hitting some wires around that area. also tightened some bolts around there. it still knocks. i think up to 4 degrees. i have to double check w/ church tomorrow how much knock the car was getting. ill try some octane boosters tomorrow to see if its gonna get rid of it.

maybe i need a High pressure FP

tune for now really made a difference it pulls hard till 5500 then knock(huhu)

is there already an aftermarket sensor for the car?
what do u guys think i should do? HELP!!!!

get some logs of the knock and people will be able to tell you whats going on.

yea i wouldn't go back until you get an upgraded CDFP

i'd say you definately need a high pressure cdfp, with all those mods. i needed one after i added downpipe and 3.25" tmic.

just did 2 logs right now.

1st run

didnt have that much knock not sure why? might be related to temperature.

2nd run

theres the knock.

how come my afr doesnt drop as my fuel pressure drops?

Do i really need a better pump?

not sure why it doesnt' go leaner but just doesn't. you are in need of a pump though.

my god that tune is not looking good. you need a fuel pump stat. Your a/f doesn't go leaner because your car is probably closing the throttle plate to prevent your engine from blowing up. That is if your flash is not preventing this safety function of the ecu from working. You may be able to prevent the pump from crapping out by leaning out the a/f ratio to 12:1, but your better off getting the pump.

your tune is adding WAY to much fuel down low. im surprised your not cutting.... dumping fueldown into the 9's like that during spool.

and what have you done with your timing on that tune too?

Yeah I would find a new tuner. Actually I would just tune it myself if I had a standback.

i did 3 more runs tonight. all runs were in 3rd gear

car just reach normal engine temp when i did this run. noticed that i didnt have that much knock?

noticed that im low on coolant. maybe thats why im getting more knock when engine is hotter.. i will top it off tomorrow

good move on the fuel pump. Now stop going WOT until you replace it.

Looks like your knock starts as soon as the fp drops.
