Tackling this tomorrow. Now that I added a bunch of power it needs to be done. The car is almost scary when I'm trying to merge into traffic, I never know when it's going to stutter and get me rear ended by the car coming up on me. I've been having to drive like a complete grandma lately because of it

Will post pics once I get it installed, still completely undecided on location of the switch.

Ok, got a bunch of electrical stuff done that I had been wanting to do, so getting this finished up took a bit longer than I thought. Made my cigarette lighter 12v constant so I can charge my phone without the car on. Also wired in another switched 12v for my GPS. Also installed the turbo timer I got for a steal a few months ago. The big job was taking the Viper 5002 alarm out. It came with the car and I never got the remote for it so it was worthless.

Anyways, decided to put the SWAS switch in the blank space next to the DSC button. The alarm that I was removing had its armed light in it already, so I expanded the hole with a razor blade attachment in my soldering iron. A dab of silicone on the back to hold it in place and it was good to go. I like the clean stock look and having it in that location makes a lot of sense.

On to the pics:
blank plate opened up for the switch

Looks good, I like you're choice of switch. Low profile and OEM looking. Almost put mine there but decided to hide it instead.

Thanks, I took a page out of your book with the switch. It was the most oem looking one that radio shack sold. I liked your location, but I already have the dial for my sub mounted there.

so is a Steering Angle Sensor not the same as a steering wheel angle sensor? saw somebody posted the speed6 doesn't have SWAS, buuutttt...
the speed6s have SASs, and I stumbled to here thinking of just disengaging it hoping it was like the SWAS since mine just took a shit apparently.

Any chance this could be a symptom of SWAS? I have quadruple checked for boost leaks everywhere and pulling plenty of vacuum...

Im stumped...

Judging by your pic, you've visited with Ron.

Oh and i made an auto DSC off circuit for jmhinkle a long time ago. I could always make more if people wanted them.
you could find a switch that has the 6 terminals on it and connect them so when the switch is in the off position non of the wires are connected but when its in the on position signals flow normally through switch it needs to be either a dedicated 3 terminal switch or 3 separate switches the main wire that needs to be switched is the power wire which is usually red or white. test prop and a test light will help i will try it later when i have more free time. then update with pics and instructions. )))))
